Zulässigkeit des Hundes als Haustier

Frage:
Bitte beraten Sie mich: ist es erlaubt einen Hund als Haustier zu halten? Manche sagen, dass man einen Hund halten dürfe, vorausgesetzt er betritt nicht das Haus sondern wird im Garten oder umgebenden Grundstück gehalten. Bitte erläutern sie.
Antwort:
Es ist erlaubt einen Hund zum Zwecke der Jagd oder als Wachhund am Bauernhof oder Haus zu halten. Es ist nicht erlaubt ihn als Haustier zu halten. Es wird im Hadiith (sinngemäß) erwähnt: Derjenige, der einen Hund für andere Zwecke als der Jagd oder des Bewachens von Herde oder Hof hält, verliert täglich ein Qirat (eine Maßeinheit) an Gotteslohn.

please advice me , is it allowable in Islam to have a dog as a pet. Some say , we can have a dog , provided it does not enter the insides of the house and it can be kept in the garden or compund area ? please advice further

(Fatwa: 77/52/D=1432)
It is lawful to keep dog for hunting and watching the farm and house. It is not lawful to have a dog as pet. It is mentioned in a hadith: He who kept a dog for needs other than hunting or watching the herd and farm, he would lose one qirat of reward every day.
عن أبي هريرة عن النبى صلى الله عليه وسلم من اتخذ كلبا إلا كلب ماشية أو صيد أو زرع انتقص من أجره كل يوم قيراط . (ابو داؤد – 393)
